Thanks for that invite. Ah, yes...a small world, indeed! I'm also a fan of the Portsmouth and "Winnie"/Lakes region areas, too...'spent a lot of time as a kid in those places.
I must say, from here in the desert I'm envying your upcoming weather. Autumn in New Hampshire; 'can't beat it! (Still hotter than H**L here in the desert.) Between the foliage and "sometimes" hot Red Sox post season play, New England rocks! (Though, I must admit, I am a fan of the NY Yankees :)

That is a photo of Nidal Malik Hasan from the Fort Hood Shootings. I guess its my odd way of saying that I have no place for Islam in the West.

Hi'Ya NHLiveFree! Thanks for the understanding comment. It's amazing how soon the masses of people forgot (or never truly realized who's clock most of our current, major, national problems started on...pure denial.) It's not put back on them (where it belongs) often enough, so I like to remind them when the feeling strikes me (...actually when one of their comments I read irks me enough...grin.) By the way, I am orginally from the Salem, NH area. How about yourself? :)

I know it's NOT a question. Just joking around.
Your state motto is probabley more widely known than "Dont tread on me."
I remember when your license plates all had the word "Scenic" instead of "Live Free or Die."
Hope my joking around didn't annoy you.

Live Free or Die is not a question wildredbill. It is a famous quote from a famous Revolutionary War general from NH.

"Live Free or Die?"

Ummm, I am just not very good at a pop quiz. Let me think:
A. Live Free
or
B. Die
I may be going up to New Hampshire sometime, so I really should know the answer to this question, in case someone asks. Ummm.... Tell you what.

Let me talk it over with my wife, and I'll get back to ya. :- )

Sure could go for a lobster.
Lived on Puget Sound growing up and miss fresh seafood a lot.

Oh, about billing those tankers that fill up on Lake Michigan water.
I want all the legislatures around the great lakes to make it illegal for tankers to draw water out of the lakes or dump balast water into the lakes. Enforce with meaningful fines.

I agree with you about protecting our fresh water supply.
Worked many years for Jos. Schlitz brewing Co., so know a little about the importance of quality, fresh, drinking water.
That recent million gallon oil spill in Michigan that went down the Kalamazoo river ends up in Lake Michigan.
When a couple local politicians start telling us that we should encourage oil companies to drill in Lake Michigan, that really makes my blood boil. Why would anyone in their right mind put the largest supply of fresh water in the world at risk?
