They mix just fine using a Prius, a Volt, and a number of other vehicles.

First thing, "electrolysized" is not a word.
Electrolyzed hydrogen doesn't mix with much of anything because of the basic laws of science ladled out daily in freshman chemistry and physics classes. One kg of hydrogen equals approximately 75 kWh of electricity and there's no way around that.
If electrolyzed hydrogen is the answer, it's obvious that the wrong question has been asked. Batteries likely work better.

I'd love to have an ecar right now, but that's not working for me b/c my daily commute exceeds the range limit.

I agree! - I wish SOMEONE would introduce an electrical car that's affordable and allows for some limitations to make it so. Example: why not make a small generator that does NOT have the capacity to run the car at full power. It would be lighter, more efficient, but might require you to sit (take a coffee/bathroom break - so what) and let it charge some. I'm willing to accept such trade-offs when 99% of my driving is under 40 miles in a day!

Are you really serious mikaye or just incredibly ....? From your questions, it appears that you don't car to read and very likely could not afford any $40,000 vehicle.
The Volt sounds like a true goat with its on-board charging engine, powered by gasoline mikaye.

Of course this is just the test model. Your mileage will vary when they figure out a way to make the car more cheaply.

I like the Idea of a hybrid but I still want a van. Come on dealers can't you generate enough output at a reasonable cost to propel a van?

Right now I will stay with my gasoline powered vehicles because this type of vehicle has a lot of proving to do before it will convince me.

Quote..
Over the course of the day, Bradley drove the Volt a total of 59.7 miles, 16.1 of which occurred with the gas-powered range-extending on. During that time, 0.59 gallons of gas were consumed, which means the Volt achieved about 100 miles per gallon for the day and 27.3 mpg while the engine was operating.
27.3 mpg while the engine was running.
...Uh guys-- how much does YOUR "free" electricity cost??

This car is a great looking car and will probably be a car for our future but because of it's high pricing most of the common worker who could really use one can't afford it.

New technology is ALWAYS pricey when it is new. Give the Chevy Volt some time, and the price will be within reach VERY soon! Remember - You won't have to spend $100 or more at the gas pump every month - Factor that into the overall cost! :-)
